I love my air fryer, like…the specific one I have. It has trays that slide in, and an element on the top. Others I have seen have what looks like a basket. I’m not sure how that works, but I know that mine is great for keeping the food from touching, making it nice and crispy. If you need quick dinners or lunches, you need an air fryer. How Does An Air Fryer Work?
An air fryer uses the circulation of hot air to evenly cook food vs. being submerged in oil. There is a heating element near the food, and a fan blows the hot air around the food. It cooks the food quickly this way, it’s a lot like a convection oven. Does the food come out “fried”, no. Does it come out fast, and juicy? Yes.

How To Make This 15 Minute Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan Dinner
It starts with the chicken, you will slice each breast down the middle (horizontal), making a skinny chicken cutlet. You will pound it a little to flatten it out to about 1/4″ thickness. Here is a tip on flattening chicken: When you hit it with a mallet, hit lightly and push away from you with pressure. This will help you not destroy the chicken breast as you are pounding it.
You will dredge the cutlet in a little flour, then egg, then panko breadcrumbs mixed with parmesan cheese, salt, and parsley.
Pop it in the air fryer for just 15 minutes at 350° and then shave some parmesan on top. *See the recipe below for instructions on making the whole meal (chicken, noodles, sauce) in 15 minutes*.

This whole meal can come together in 15 minutes, slurpy noodles, crispy chicken parmesan with the yummiest magic bullet marinara sauce.
FOR THE CHICKEN:
2 chicken breast, sliced through the middle horizontally
1/4 cup flour + 1/2 tsp salt + 1/8 tsp pepper
1 cup panko
1/2 cup parmesan
1 Tbsp dried parsley
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs, lightly beaten
Fresh parmesan block to shave on top
FOR THE MARINARA:
28 oz can diced tomatoes
4 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar (or Swerve, sugar replacement)
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 6 oz can tomato paste
Pinch red pepper *optional
FOR THE NOODLES:
1/2 lb pasta of choice (I used whole wheat linguine)
FOR THE CHICKEN:
Pound the chicken with a meat mallet into 1/4″ thick slices
Combine flour with salt and pepper
Dredge chicken in flour mixture, shake off excess
Dredge chicken evenly in egg mixture
Combine panko, parmesan, salt, and parsley
Dredge chicken evenly in mixture
Place in air fryer set to 350° and bake for 15 minutes
FOR THE MARINARA SAUCE:
Using a magic bullet, or food processor blend half the can of tomatoes and pour into saucepan
Process the other half of the tomatoes with the garlic, olive oil, salt, sugar (or Swerve), and red pepper
Combine with first half in the saucepan
Bring to a low boil and simmer for 10 minutes (or longer)
FOR THE NOODLES:
Cook noodles according to package directions
TO ASSEMBLE THE DINNER:
Chicken and noodles go into the bowl
Spoon on hot marinara sauce (chicken and noodles)
Layer fresh shaved parmesan on top of the marinara on the chicken, it will melt.*
Here is how you make this dinner in 15 minutes:
Start the water for the noodles first,
While that is waiting to boil, get the chicken cutlets in the air fryer, set it for 15 minutes
Put the noodles in the water
Start on the marinara sauce, it should be ready at the same time as the chicken and noodles
* I use a vegetable peeler to shave fresh parmesan
