The Cranberry Orange Sparkle- My Favorite Christmas Cocktail
This is the quickest cocktail you have ever made…and friends…she goes down smooth on these cold winter nights. You don’t need anything special for this cranberry orange Christmas cocktail…except maybe the will to get off the couch (I see you 2020). A liquor jigger doesn’t hurt to get precise measurements but also, I might be guilty of eyeballing it sometimes. An extra splash of orange liqueur when no ones looking, makes this a little extra boozy, so you do you.
If the kiddos are jealous of your delicious Christmas cocktail, just substitute orange juice instead of orange liqueur. If they are old enough, give them a pretty glass, it makes it so special. When I was a kid, we flew to San Diego every year to visit my family and one of my fondest memories was the adults making my cousin and I a mock-tail when everyone else was having happy hour. We felt so fancy and ultimately as an adult is such a warm memory for me. I remember nothing about presents and everything about my grandparents kitchen and the adults milling around with cocktails.

INGREDIENTS YOU NEED FOR A CRANBERRY ORANGE COCKTAIL
Just four simple ingredients pull this cranberry orange cocktail together.
- Cranberry Juice: I use 100% cranberry juice.
- Orange Liqueur: Whatever brand you want to buy, Gran Marnier is the most popular.
- Aromatic Cocktail Bitters: I used Peychaud’s Aromatic Cocktail Bitters.
- Ginger-ale: I used Diet Ginger-ale.
