Croutons are so good, and homemade croutons are my favorite. I love them crunchy on the outside, way chewy on the inside, and sprinkled with sea salt. There is something that happens at home that doesn't happen with croutons from the store. Homemade crouton magic. First, I'm going to show you how I make croutons at home, and then I'm going to eat all of these croutons. Don't tell anyone k.
Before I tell you how to make these delicious croutons at home, let's talk about all the ways you can use these chewy crunchy gems.

How To Make Croutons At Home
Croutons in my kitchen started with a failed bread loaf this week. It didn't rise properly and no one wanted to eat it...except me. I don't care what the bread looks like; I want it in my mouth. Give me all the bread.
So you might have a failed bread loaf like me, or a nice bread loaf, or just a bread loaf that's getting old that needs to be used (I would still eat it whatever). These are all good candidates for croutons.
Take your bread, in whatever shape it may be and cut it into cubes. You will be surprised how many croutons you get in the end. It doesn't take much bread to make a lot.
Toss it with olive oil and salt (I love lots of salt). Also pop a couple of these little bread cubes, you deserve it; it's been a long week.
Place them in a single layer on a baking sheet, and get it going. Do you see all those little breadcrumbs? I like to call them bonus breadcrumbs. They get so toasty and crunchy. If you save them in a little bowl to the side you can

It is so easy to make croutons at home, you just need bread cubes, olive oil, and salt!
3-4 cups of bread cubes
2 Tbsp olive oil
½ tsp kosher or sea salt
Preheat oven to 350°
Cut bread into 1" or smaller cubes
Toss with olive oil
Toss again with salt
Bake 15-20 minutes*
20 minutes will yield crunchy croutons all the way through
For chewy croutons, bake for 15 minutes
